Basically, let the oceans run with blood. It's from Macbeth, in case you were wondering!
Incarnadine is a saturated merlot, washed with black. This batch is less variegated than usual, and leans a bit more berry than blood.
(This is a very saturated colourway. I have washed it and the rinse water is clear. If you are planning to knit this with a light colour, I would recommend knitting a small test swatch with all the colours you're using, and wash and block in the usual way. Cold water and a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid is a good bet!)
Port DK is smooth and plump – a high-twist four ply construction. It’s great for garments and accessories, and showcasing cables! Port DK gets extra soft and squashy after it has had a bath. DHY recommends swatching, and alternating skeins when knitting a larger item. (Colour may vary from skein to skein, even in the same batch.)
Fibre content: 100% superwash merino
Yardage: 228 metres / 250 yards
Recommended knitting needle size: 3.25 - 5.00 mm needles for garments and accessories
Wash carefully by hand in cold water with a few drops of clear unscented dishwashing liquid (if needed). Dry flat in shade.
I try hard to take photos that accurately represent the colour of the yarn, but please note that screens all show colour a little differently. If you have questions about colours, please ask, and I will do my best to describe them for you!
